About Time! |
Description: |
This is what I was out for on this dreary "spring" day. After missing it on two prior runs across Wisconsin since the previous Sunday, I finally got to catch CP's business train with their FP9s as it deadheaded back to Canada. |

F Unit in Your Face |
Description: |
The deadheading OCS snakes through the curve-and-dip at Bowman Road in the Wisconsin Dells, one of my favorite locations for westbounds on the Tomah Sub. This angle nicely conceals the GP20C-ECO which stuck out like a sore thumb between the two FP9As, as the B-unit is currently shopped. 21st-century railfans may foam over seeing a CP GMD unit still in a weatherbeaten "Dual Flags" or "Multimark (Pac-Man)" scheme, but here is the ORIGINAL CP paint scheme! However 1401 is not an original CP F unit, having been built, ironically, for main competitor CN before serving with VIA Rail, then Nebkota Railway in the US before being acquired by CP in 1998. |

Deadheading CP OCS leans into the Bowman Rd. curves |
Description: |
Sharp looking train, although that ECO in the middle is a bit of an eyesore. For some reason they decided that the two FP9As wouldn't do on their own. |
