| Running across the picture bottom right toward top left is ex-Milwaukee Road, now WSOR Northern Division main line between Horicon and North Milwaukee. In the background is the ex-C&NW "Air Line" to Fond du Lac. In the late '80s/early '90s this was the Fox River Valley RR's main line, however WC later abandoned a large portion of it as all through traffic was moved to their ex-Soo Line Waukesha Sub. They (and by extension CN, when it acquired the WC in 2001) obtained trackage rights over WSOR to serve the remaining stub to the south edge of West Bend, as well as a now isolated portion of the ex-Milwaukee Road line north out of Milwaukee to Saukville. |
