WC 7525 long hood with its Operation Lifesaver graphic
While it was nice that this one was preserved, I almost would have preferred one in the "typical" WC SD45 scheme. A few went to the DMV&W, but have been repainted into their orange and gray scheme. A handful of others "survived" for years in the vast diesel boneyard at NRE Silvis, but with the recent changes to that operation their future is likely bleak (if any even do survive as of August, 2022).
