Album Info:This is really a long branch, what is left of the Chicago & Northwestern line between Milwaukee and Green Bay. It sees 2-3 unit trains a week serving the coal power plant in Sheboygan. A nighttime wayfreight serves industries in the small towns along the way, and ferrys general freight to and from Sheboygan. A separate local switches out industries in town. A portion of the Shoreline Sub is also used by the Granville turn to access its own branch line at Wiscona.

Keeping a Lookout
Title:  Keeping a Lookout
Description:  The rusty, battered old caboose/waycar/hack/crummy/whatever you want to call it is one of a dwindling handful of such cars still employed by Class I railroads in late 2020.

Title:  Splitting the wigwags on Saemann Avenue

Shoving across a small timber bridge approaching Najacht Road
Title:  Shoving across a small timber bridge approaching Najacht Road
Description:  After setting out their tank car for Plenco, YSB52 continues on shoving north of Sheboygan proper. This small local freight train only ventures on to this section of the line as needed, in territory that once served C&NW passenger trains between Chicago/Milwaukee and Green Bay.

UP 1478 shoves across Garton Road
Title:  UP 1478 shoves across Garton Road
Description:  While not quite as rare as wigwags, just plain crossing signals with incandescent lights and a mechanical bell are getting to be kind of unusual these days. Nearly everything is getting gates, giant L.E.D. lightheads and e-bells now.

Boarded Up
Title:  Boarded Up
Description:  This is how the UP Shoreline Subdivison ends...at a red board just north of the County FF crossing. The Sheboygan local only comes to Haven as needed to deliver lumber for Richco, which is located south of the crossing. Technically they could cross the road, but there's almost no reason for them to unless they had way more cars than usual to set aside north of the spur switch. Beyond the red board, the track continues for another mile or so in an overgrown state, and ends at the Manitowoc County line. CN owned the line north of there, but abandoned south of Newton a few years ago.

Lonely Outpost
Title:  Lonely Outpost
Description:  There's not much to Haven, Wisconsin. Just a handful of houses, businesses and township buildings near the railroad crossing on County FF. One of those is Richco Structures, which is the only reason the Union Pacific local freight train out of Sheboygan still makes appearances along this section of the line which once hosted C&NW passenger trains between Milwaukee and Green Bay.

A Geep, four boxcars and a caboose
Title:  A Geep, four boxcars and a caboose
Description:  To the right, behind the engine is a small portion of the Cargill (formerly Schrier) malt plant. The spur to it comes off the Kohler branch (former Sheboygan & Mississippi RR), down a steep hill and passes under the bridge as it crosses New Jersey Avenue to reach the plant.
