CP 6306 leads a four-pack on 281 |
Description: |
Not only is the leader one of the items I had yet to check off my bucket list (a Beaver-painted rebuilt ex-Soo Line SD60), it has become unusual to see four locomotives at the head end of a manifest with the widespread adoption of distributed power operations. |

281 crawls along the main after letting G64 go through the junction ahead |
Description: |
I missed getting photos (handheld grab video only) of G64, which was coming off the Madison line (track to right) just as I arrived in town. |

281 motors out of town hot on 587's heels, 51x51 with four on the front |
Description: |
Pre-departure counts to the dispatcher were 51 loads, 51 empties. I was a little annoyed that between the wait for 288 and 587 to get out of the way, and an unexpected bank of low clouds obscuring the setting sun, I didn't get my anticipated sweet golden light shot of this. |
