Title: |
GG1-killer next to the prototype GG1 |
Description: |
It took Amtrak until the early 1980s to find a suitable replacement for the nearly fifty-year-old GG1s, in the form of the AEM-7. They were themselves replaced in the mid-2010s by the current Siemens ACS-64. 915 is one of three preserved, I've also seen the 945 which is at Illinois Railway Museum. |
