Notice the black top to the short hood (presumably to cut down on glare)...most of CP's vast AC4400CW fleet has red there. The unit's unusual appearance is due to a grade crossing accident at Moose Jaw, SK CA in 2014. She was repaired, repainted and released in May 2015. The 2 year, 4 month old coat of red is just as dirty as any of her more standard Golden Beaver sisters. CP has reintroduced that scheme on new repaints starting in late 2017. |
