Inbound L463 crosses Sherman Avenue
Title:  Inbound L463 crosses Sherman Avenue
Description:  I was waiting for the CP G64 to leave on the M&P line, when I heard a distant K5LA behind me. I packed up, jumped in my car and zipped over to the other end of Commercial Avenue.

With their short train clear of Sherman Ave., L463 rolls to a stop on the yard lead
Title:  With their short train clear of Sherman Ave., L463 rolls to a stop on the yard lead
Description:  Their path is temporarily blocked by L469, which needs headroom on the lead to do their switching.

A look at WAMX 4177 as L463 waits for L469 to clear their path into the yard
Title:  A look at WAMX 4177 as L463 waits for L469 to clear their path into the yard
Description:  This was formerly WSOR 4008. This is also my first catch of one of the WSOR SD40-2s in motion since the roster was fully WAMX-ized toward the end of last year. Thankfully they retained the classic WSOR red and gray paint scheme, which has held up relatively well thanks to the quality work done at their Horicon shops.

Just three engines in the Madison yard this pleasant fall afternoon
Title:  Just three engines in the Madison yard this pleasant fall afternoon
Description:  The 3947 has finally received its red and gray after several years roaming the WSOR system in shabby ex-UP yellow. Watco's take on the scheme does away with the thin chevron stripes, and moves the single fat gray chevron from the long hood to the short hood. 4174 was the WSOR 4005.

Two for One
Title:  Two for One
Description:  As I was passing through Milton I saw the headlight (of 4173) to the west, and drove over to investigate. At first it was just the three units, then to my surprise yet another headlight appeared to the west. This was 4177 long hood forward, coupled to 4179 and a train.

Coming in for the joint...
Title:  Coming in for the joint...
Description:  There were two crews working with this group of five SD40-2s, I believe they were the T004 and T006 but not sure which was which or what became of the cars from one of the trains (the train as I saw it in Janesville later was just the cut of covered hoppers). Just another day in the bizarro world of the WSOR.
