Target in sight! |
Description: |
I got a heads up that CP train 281 had a neat lashup on this day. I calculated I could just beat them to Portage after I got out of work, and sure enough, just a few minutes after I arrived they appeared around the curve! |

288 meets 281 |
Description: |
As the older standard cab EMDs and fallen flag paint schemes get ever harder to find with time, the variety of foreign power keeps this line interesting. As 281's lashup proves, standard cab EMDs can still be found on occasion, as well! |

UP 1843 and three helpers muscle CP train 281 back into motion |
Description: |
Over 10,000' of train was no problem for this quartet of EMDs. Seconds after the power crossed the road, still moving at a fairly sedate pace, I packed up and left, thinking I could easily beat them to the next crossing west. Boy, was I wrong! |

UP 1843 has wings and it's flying! |
Description: |
Even with me going 75-80 MPH on the Interstate, and the train making a stop at Mile Creek siding, I was only a few minutes ahead of it here at Camp Douglas. |
