Description:  The L863 off the Reedsburg Sub snuck up on me, so only managed handheld video as it crossed Commercial Avenue. 4173 was the WSOR 4004. Behind 3928 is 4185 (formerly WSOR 4051), which has a bit of a smoking problem.

Title:  Close, but no cigar
Description:  I planned on catching Saturday's L463 after seeing Friday's L863 come in with the recently repainted 3947 trailing facing north, expecting they would turn back north with the same power set the next day. Well, I was half right. There was L463's crew going to work with the 4173, but the 3947 had been taken off overnight leaving the former WSOR 4004 to head to Reedsburg long-hood-forward.

Description:  As I was passing through Milton I saw the headlight (of 4173) to the west, and drove over to investigate. At first it was just the three units, then to my surprise yet another headlight appeared to the west. This was 4177 long hood forward, coupled to 4179 and a train.

Description:  There were two crews working with this group of five SD40-2s, I believe they were the T004 and T006 but not sure which was which or what became of the cars from one of the trains (the train as I saw it in Janesville later was just the cut of covered hoppers). Description:  I've now caught 4173/fmr. WSOR 4004 leading trains through Janesville, and taken a shot at this bridge, three times since the start of the year. At least it's a different unit stalking me now (was 4171/fmr. WSOR 4002 for a long time, to a lesser extent 4183/4030 - of course after its 30th Anniversary decals were mostly cooked/peeled off and looked horrible).

Title:  645 Symphony
Description:  The quartet of LaGrange's (or technically, McCook's) finest are clear of Janesville yard limits and humming right along. I'd been Murphy'd in three straight prior attempts to get a shot here. In February, train stopped to switch at County J until dark; earlier in May a cop had County O (my needed chase route) blocked at the intersection with J; then a few days later I stumbled upon the train and it had me cut off at another crossing.
